Home / Transform Your Air Quality with the Airmaster Ultra System
The AirMaster Ultra air purifier uses ultraviolet light and ozone technology to neutralize cooking and pet odors and kill airborne bacteria and molds.
EPA studies indicate that air quality inside the average home can be up to 40 times dirtier than the air outside. When you think about all the time your family spends indoors, doesn’t it make sense to give them the best air quality you can? The AirMaster Ultra system is designed to do just that, going beyond ordinary mechanical air filters to dramatically reduce airborne contaminants and household odors throughout your entire home. The system works using two safe and time-tested technologies: ultraviolet light and ozone. Like all RainSoft products, this system is built to last, so your family will be breathing easier inside your home for many years to come when you have it installed. Contact your RainSoft dealer to learn more about the AirMaster Ultra air purification system.
RAINSOFT® AIRMASTER ULTRA
Whole-House Air Purification
The AirMaster Ultra is installed in the air duct of your HVAC system, where it works to purify the air and dramatically reduce odors in every room of your home.
Continuous Air Quality
Whenever your heating/cooling system is on, the Airmaster Ultra works silently and continuously, leaving fresher, cleaner air throughout your home.
Energy Efficiency
The AirMaster Ultra operates only when your HVAC system is running and draws only 47 watts of energy, thus using less power than a standard lightbulb.
Ease of Use
LED indicators allow you to view the unit’s operational status at a glance, and external odor controls allow you to easily adjust for changing home air quality.
Low Maintenance Requirements
Unlike systems that require frequent changing of debris-collecting air filters, the AirMaster Ultra requires only periodic changing of the UV and ozone lamps, which your RainSoft dealer will perform.
Limited Warranty
The AirMaster Ultra is backed by RainSoft’s Limited Warranty against manufacturer defects, which is an exceptional level of protection for your investment.
You may be familiar with air filtration systems, but the Airmaster Ultra is actually an air purifier. The diagrams below help explain the difference. Air filters are also called “mechanical filters.” They work by trapping particles that are too large to pass through (Fig. 1). They collect larger particles, but may not be as effective for many smaller particles. The filters must be changed on a regular basis, as they fill up with the collected debris (much like the bag on a vacuum cleaner).
Air purifiers, on the other hand, actually sterilize or kill most contaminants. Both UV and ozone are purification methods. In the Airmaster Ultra, when air passes within the UV light zone (Fig. 2a), most airborne bacteria and molds are killed or sterilized. From there, the air passes by the ozone lamp (Fig. 2b) where odors are neutralized. The process happens continuously and silently as your heating/cooling system runs, and there are no messy filters to change.
A remote status indicator is useful when the Airmaster is mounted in an inaccessible location, such as an attic.
