No, a RainSoft water softener does not significantly alter the pH of your water. It removes hardness minerals (calcium and magnesium) through ion exchange but does not affect acidity or alkalinity. However, if you have a RainSoft reverse osmosis system, it may slightly lower pH by removing buffering minerals, while a pH neutralizer can raise low pH levels in acidic water.
